Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences
The multiple intelligences theory (MI theory) claims that all humans have nine intelligences, to a lesser or greater extent, and that we each have a different intelligence profile. This profile is based on our genetics and our experiences, and it makes us unique from others. The intelligences are as follows:
Verbal-Linguistic intelligence: good with words
Logical-Mathematical intelligence: good with math and logic
Visual-Spatial intelligence: good with pictures
Bodily-kinaesthetic intelligence: good with activities
Musical intelligence: good with rhythm
Interpersonal intelligence: good with communication
Intrapersonal intelligence: good with analyzing things
Naturalist intelligence: good with understanding natural world
Existential intelligence: good with seeing the big picture and existential ideas
People have ALL the intelligences in varying degrees. The intelligences do not function in isolation but work together in complex ways.

Students' Multiple Intelligences Graphs
Every effort is made to cater to the multiple intelligences in our Literature classroom. In the first instance students answer a questionnaire which helps indentify the varying dedgrees in which they possess the different intelligences. There are no right or wrong responses.
